Black smoke

1. Over load of diesel engine.

2. Oil supplying time is too late.

3. Too excessive oil supply.

4. Poor atomization of injector.

5. Poor compression (leakage of air valve, cylinder sleeve or cylinder gasket)

7. Too large gap between air valves, and the opening of air valve is too small.

Blue smoke

The gap between piston and sleeve is too large and replaced piston can’t match cylinder sleeve.

1. Oil ring is stuck in track, causing piston rings arrange in same line, or broken, or seriously scuffed, leading the opening of oil ring is too big.

2. Heavy scuffing on air valve rod and air valve guide.

3. Oil surface is too high on the bottom of engine.

4. Oil surface of oil pan in filter is too high.

5. Diesel is mixed with engine oil.


White smoke

1. Water is mixed in diesel.

2. Cylinder head gasket is broken or the surface of cylinder head has notches, making the cooling seepg into the cylinders.

3. The temperature of engine is too low, and it is put on load without preheating.

4. When diesel engine is started with empty load after being cooled, due to poor injector atomization, excessive spray of oil and other reasons, the diesel in the cylinder can’t be complete combusted, this part of diesel turn into a white gas, and then discharged by the exhaust pipes.


Why does abnormal sound occur in the operation of engine?

1. Too large sir valve gap.

2. Too large gap between air valve rod and valve guide.

3. Two small air valve gap or too high air valve seat, causing air valve to hit piston.

4. Valve guide is broken.

5. Serious leakage of air valve.

6. Cylinder head gasket or installment point of injectors leaks air.

7. Internal barriers of silencer or internal pipe with holes fall or break.

8. Too large gap between piston and cylinder sleeve.

9. Too large gap between piston pin and copper linings.

10. Two early supply of oil.

11. Two late supply of oil.

12. Two large gap between connecting rod neck and connecting rod bearing, main bearing and main bearing neck.

13. Connecting rode bolt is loose.

14. Head of connecting rod neck collides with upper and lower balance bearings and connecting rod neck collides with cam.

15. Axial clearance of crankshaft is too large.

16. Flywheel is loose.

17. Upper and lower balance bearing are loose.

18. Gear gaps are too big, gap between sleeve and couple are too large.

19. Inlet and exhaust of camshaft has serious scuffing, and rising life is lowered too much, there are notches on the contact surface of air valve tappet with cam, which reduce the opening degree of air valve, and cause the sound “pa pa” happens.


Why does cooling tank have engine oil and black carbon?

1. There are cracks on the cylinder head and engine body.

2. Water seal ring of cylinder sleeve is broken.

3. Cylinder gasket is uneven in thickness or damaged.

4. Water head of cylinder is damaged.
